Our team members are empowered and brave enough to confront problematic situations. Step up, don’t back down. Change can be scary, we get that, but comfort zones are only expanded by stepping outside.  We insist on “above the line behaviour” – in other words, taking ownership. If something’s not right, sort it out, don’t apportion blame. We follow the rules, but not at the expense of ideas. The end game after all is maximising the financial position of our clients. Any way we can do that, inside the boundaries of what’s ethical and legal, we’ll do.

We have exceeded expectations with our best year since the firm began 31 years ago. Revenue growth, profits and team productivity have met or surpassed projected targets, and job satisfaction is at an all-time high.

Our business no longer relies on the Principals working excessive hours, because we have developed a highly skilled, dedicated team who we trust to deliver world-class professional services. We are well on the way to achieving our goal of becoming one of the Top 5 most sought-after places to work in Australia.

Our professional service combined with the exceptional products we have developed to meet client needs has resulted in outstanding client satisfaction and retention rates. We stay abreast of current technology and continually adapt Technology services to better serve our clients and improve the work environment for our team.

We pride ourselves on our bus, proudly displayed in reception. Our investment in our Team Development Department has paid off, and so we no longer need employment agents. Our reputation now precedes us, allowing us the luxury of being able to pick and choose from a pool of highly qualified candidates. Just as a sporting team has an A Grade team, so too do we. We pride ourselves on choosing the right applicant for the position and further developing their skills throughout their time with us.

Our management structure

Thirty-one years ago, we were a three-person firm with all responsibilities resting heavily on the two original Principals. Today, we have transitioned and grown into a firm that has a clear corporate structure with dedicated, quality leaders in each department.

Our Client Advocacy Manager finds out what our clients need and, with the aid of Sales, Marketing & Product Development, and the Operations team, ensures we are in a position to deliver on time and in a professional manner. Systems & Support, and Team Development ensure we have the right team on the bus and in the right seats with everyone in the firm following clear, easily understood procedures coupled with appropriate support.

Our Technology team ensures we utilise the most current technological tools and resources for our clients and staff so that our products and services are delivered in the most efficient manner possible.

Our Finance department monitors our balance sheet, investments and profits, ensuring we have sufficient funds to successfully run our firm. They provide regular reports to guide and inform our financial performance.

What the numbers show

What you can’t measure you can’t manage. We track our core numbers, thus ensuring we are on target to achieve our Strategic Plan and enabling us to continue to grow and support our clients and team.

Fees have reached $7.5 million and productivity has exceeded the industry average, at in excess of 75%. Cash is king, and our Lockup (being work in progress & debtors combined) is at the head of industry standards at 30 days in total. However, our most important number is that of team happiness and engagement, and we are proud to say it now stands at 95%, well on the way to our 100% target.

Our continued improvement in service delivery now includes weekly in-house and online presentations covering tips, ideas and strategies that empower our clients and assist them in running a successful, well-rounded and profitable business.

While the numbers show we have grown substantially, we still operate with a small firm mentality around client relationships. We continue to offer one-on-one personalised service delivered by small teams known affectionately within our firm as the Pods. Every member of the Pod strives to build a personal relationship with clients and guarantees all our clients, experience exceptional care.

Our structure and size allow us to field a strong team of legal and tax specialists who are experts in even the most complex issues. For the rare occasions when we can’t provide advice, we have a valuable network of specialists outside the firm who are available to assist.
