What do you like best about working here?
“The Culture. The culture at MT not only determines what staff are hired but also shapes which clients we choose to work with. You get the best results when you enjoy who you are working with and it’s something MT values above all else.” – Brett Dunn, Director
The best thing about working at Marsh Tincknell is the flexibility and trust the Directors have in all the staff. They truly understand the importance of a work-life balance and they live by what they say. They are more than happy to provide flexible working hours for those who need it and they are more than happy to allow staff to work from home.
I enjoy working at Marsh Tincknell (MT) for various reasons, ranging from the convenient location to great support in career development. What I like best about working here is that employees can fulfill their personal life outside of work and are fully supported by the partners. Having worked at MT for almost five years, I have seen people taking career breaks, having children or undertaking further education. The partners would try their hardest to accommodate working arrangements to suit everyone’s situations. I myself have been able to work additional days / have flexible working hours while managing some personal issues.
MT has given me the opportunity to gain experience not just in the tax compliance space, but also in the growing business development arena which is where we partner with clients to help them reach their personal and professional goals. As an industry leader in delivering business development services, it’s great to be able to experience it firsthand.
I started with MT in 2002 as a graduate accountant, through the training and mentoring I was provided by the partners and senior staff I was able to progress to a director. Over the years I have found the team environment positive, while some colleagues have moved on from MT, the firm has been able to recruit likeminded replacements that also share the firm value. Our clients are treated with respect, aside from getting the tax right, we see our role being one of guidance and mentoring to assist them to understand the financial data and achieve their goals. o MT has provided me with an opportunity to own a share of a business, work in an ever changing industry and build relationships with likeminded clients and colleagues
Ed Glasson – Director | Marsh Tincknell Accountants
I am a financial planner at MT Wealth (the wealth management arm of March Tincknell). I help our clients, who are predominantly SME owners, align their personal goals and finances with their business plans. The services I provide include wealth management, superannuation, personal risk management, estate planning and tax planning. The calibre of our clients, is my favourite part of work at March Tincknell. I get to work with motivated, focused and tenacious professionals and SME owners who challenge me to be the best adviser I can be. Marsh Tincknell has given me a platform to strive for professional excellence. Having a fun, stress free and highly professional culture, allows me to focus on what I do best, service clients. We aren’t the biggest, or the fanciest, but we are the best. I don’t know any other firm that delivers the level of service we do.
