Here’s How the United States is Taking Care of the Freelance Industry. Should Australia Follow Suit?

Freelancing has become a huge industry, not just in America, but in the rest of the world as well. This article from Business Insider has some insights on how the United States is taking care of their freelancers.

Here’s a snippet from the article that we just had to share:

Florida will pay out no more than $US275 a week, while California’s maximum is $US450 a week, Business Insider reported.

Also, the stimulus passed by Congress in March provides an extra$US600 a week through the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program. The PUA also extended the normal duration of each state’s unemployment benefits by 16 weeks.
