How to Choose the Right Accountant for Your Small Business

Here’s another good one from Business Matters. It’s called 7 Steps to Choosing the Right Small Business Accountant.

There are some really intersting insights here. This one is especially thought-provoking:

First and foremost, before choosing an accountant, it’s essential to have a clear idea of what you are going to need from them. Make a list of the kind of work and responsibilities that you will want the accountant to handle for your business. If you only need small accounting tasks like basic bookkeeping or monthly financial statements, you can probably hire a bookkeeper. On the other hand, you may need a more experienced accounting firm if you want more complex tasks handling, like preparing tax returns or auditing financial statements.

It’s an article packed with wisdom so do give the rest of it a read at this link to the Business Matters website.
