Catherine McCourt – Background

Cath joined Marsh Tincknell in 2012 as an accountant after completing her CPA qualification. She was promoted to Senior Accountant and Manager, becoming a Partner in 2023.

Cath works closely with clients to help them understand their business’s financial needs, including cash flow and budgeting, structuring, tax planning, asset protection, ERP/software solutions, and compliance obligations. She has extensive experience with small to medium-sized businesses, covering a range of industries, predominantly working with wholesale and registered training organizations (RTOs). Cath has acted in internal finance roles for clients, assisting with their day-to-day finance operations and implementing procedures to set the business up for long-term success.

She spends time training and mentoring junior through senior accountants, focusing on their technical skills and helping to develop their soft skills.

When not at work, Cath enjoys spending time at home with her family, cooking or baking, helping out at the football club, cheering on her daughter and son, or taking her daughter to the dance studio, where she also puts on her tap/jazz shoes!
